High quality photographic performance
The Pentax WG-8 is equipped with a 20 megapixel backlit CMOS 1/2.3" sensor and x5 optical zoom for maximum versatility in all situations. It covers a focal range of 5 to 25 mm (equivalent to 28-140 mm in 35 mm format) and offers up to 6400 ISO, adjustable according to your needs. The camera captures sharp and detailed images thanks to its high quality lenses, even in low-light conditions. Various shooting modes, such as macro mode at 1 cm, underwater mode and self-portrait mode, automatically adjust settings for optimal results. The Night to Hand Photo mode, in particular, captures several images of the same night scene and merges them to create a unique and perfectly clear composite photo.
TFT 3" color LCD screen Pentax WG-8 has an incredible resolution of 1,040,000 points. Its anti-reflective coating ensures good visibility, even in full sun. The 6 LEDs around the lens provide homogeneous and powerful illumination for macro photos, revealing precise details at short distance. You can individually adjust the LEDs for specific lighting effects. In addition, 3 stabilization modes (Pixel Track SR, Movie SR and Movie SR+) reduce blur for even clearer images.
Advanced features for adventure
The Pentax WG-8 has practical features for users. Its built-in GPS, compatible with GLONASS, allows you to map your photos and automatically adjust the local time. If you wish, it is possible to indicate the GPS data, the direction captured by the integrated compass and the UTC time in the lower right corner of your shot. The high definition webcam (UVC) function and the micro-HDMI output further increase its versatility.
Wi-Fi connectivity facilitates sharing your images on social networks or with smartphones. Capable of recording 4K videos in H.264 format and capturing HD clips (3840 x 2160p, at 30 ips), the WG-8 offers exceptional video quality to immortalize your adventures. Finally, with 18 Scene modes and 12 digital filters, this camera allows you to customize your shots according to your desires.
