The video and photo recording performance of A7 IV makes it the ideal hybrid camera. It gives life to your artistic vision. With images in 4K60fps 10 bits 4:2:2 and photos in 33MP. Its CMOS Image Sensor Exmor R full format is retro illuminated. The advanced BIONZ XR image processing processor offers processing performance up to 8 times higher than the BIONZ X processor.
The sensor offers improved color reproducibility, low noise and a dynamic range of 15 diaphs. This allows an impressive level of detail for landscapes or skin textures. The sensitivity range extends from 50 to 204 800 ISO for fixed images and from 100 to 102 400 ISO for video recordings and maintains a low noise level throughout the extended range.
High performance
The housing offers an impressive range of recording options. Reading all pixels, without clustering, allows 4K 60p17 records, while oversampling full size 7K allows high resolution 4K 30p records with high level of detail.
The image quality allows for greater freedom of post-processing. It offers you a HEIF, RAW and JPEG encoding and a fluid 10-bit gradation for a more realistic reproduction of skys, portraits... Optical image stabilization is integrated on 5 axes and improved for a compensation of 5.5 increments.
Different modes and artificial intelligence
Expand your creativity with creative rendering presets. S-Cinetone technology offers beautiful skin tone, which gives a radiant appearance to the skin, soft colors and superb high lights. A 7 IV takes into account the gamma curve S-Log2 and S-Log3 for a colorimetric fit with professional video equipment.
The buffer supports gusting and continuous recording. Thanks to mechanical and electronic shutters, shoots up to 10 frames per second with automatic development and exposure.
Simple use and content sharing
The design of the Alpha 7 IV is optimized to improve grip and the use of buttons. Get quick access to different modes with photo/video/S&Q wheel. The new menu is also designed for your comfort and instinctive use. You can customize the control buttons according to your references. The variable angle LCD screen gives complete freedom in the shooting.
The 3.68 megapoint high-definition OLED Quad-VGA viewfinder offers a resolution of approximately 1.6 times that of the Alpha 7 III viewfinder with a 37.3° field of vision and an eye clearance of 23 mm. The case is equipped with wired and wireless communication features for instant and fast sharing. Make live streaming with a simple USB connection.
